> How I handle data when you browse snejda.cz and when you send an inquiry.

## 1. Who processes your data

The data controller is Jakub Šnejda. For questions or requests about your data, email me at jakub@snejda.cz.

## 2. Inquiry data and its purpose

An inquiry contains your name, an email address or phone number, an optional message and your answers to five questions: what you need, how big a website, what you already have, your approximate budget and the deadline. I use this data to assess the brief, reply, prepare an offer and agree on cooperation. The form also sends a hidden field for protection against automated spam and a technical reference used for delivery and safe retrying. Providing the data is voluntary, but without your name and an email address or phone number I cannot reply.

## 3. Negotiating cooperation

If I am preparing a contract with you at your request, or performing our contract, the necessary processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. If no contract comes from an inquiry, I rely on my legitimate interest in replying to your message (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and you may object to it. Sending an inquiry is not consent to marketing.

## 4. Email delivery and recipients

I run the website and its server part on Vercel. After you submit the form, the server passes the inquiry to Resend: first it sends a message from poptavky@snejda.cz to jakub@snejda.cz with your email as the reply address. It then tries to send a copy of the inquiry to your email; replies to that copy go to jakub@snejda.cz. Resend therefore processes the content of the messages and the sender and recipient addresses. The emails are further processed by the providers of the respective mailboxes. A failed confirmation email does not mean the first message was not accepted for sending. Acceptance by the service is not a guarantee of delivery to a mailbox. Vercel and Resend are based in the United States, so data may be transferred outside the EU/EEA. This happens only under Chapter V GDPR: on the basis of a European Commission adequacy decision (the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for certified providers) or standard contractual clauses.

## 5. Storage and retention of inquiries

The application does not store inquiries in its own database. After sending, copies exist in the Resend email system and in mailboxes; their retention is not controlled by a form timer. The application has no automatic deletion of these emails and no set one-year deadline for erasing inquiries. I keep an inquiry for as long as we are discussing cooperation. If we work together, I keep it for the duration of the contract and afterwards for as long as claims under the contract may arise (generally 3 years), and any documents the law requires me to keep for the period the law sets. If we do not work together, I delete the inquiry on your request, otherwise I keep it only as long as needed for follow-up communication. To ask about retention or to request erasure, contact jakub@snejda.cz.

## 6. Browser storage and cookies

Draft answers and contact details are saved to sessionStorage under the key snejda:inquiry, so they remain available when you return to or reload the page in the same tab session. The application deletes them after a successful send. The browser controls how long a session lasts. If storage is unavailable, the form uses the page's memory. You can remove the stored data in your browser's site data settings. The form does not set cookies. The public part of the website has no advertising tracking and no cookie bar.

## 7. Traffic and performance

I use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to measure traffic and page speed. They record which pages are viewed, where the visitor came from, the device and browser type, the approximate country and how fast pages load. They use no cookies, do not build a profile of visitors across websites and are not linked to any inquiry you send. Vercel operates both services and may also process technical data such as your IP address when delivering pages. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in measuring and improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and you may object to the processing. If I change the analytics, I will update this policy.

## 8. Error logs

The contact API contains general logs of some configuration or sending errors and, for an unexpected error, records its type. It does not put the content of the inquiry, your name or email in these logs. These logs are not an archive of inquiries.

## 9. Helios diagnostics are separate

Diagnostic reports from the Helios app have their own policy at /en/helios/privacy and a description at /en/helios/diagnostics. Their database and deletion rules do not apply to project inquiries. Helios uses a Neon/Postgres database connection and the Clerk service for administration access. A project inquiry uses neither of these services and requires no sign-in.

## 10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or portability, and object to processing. The specific rights depend on the purpose and legal basis of the processing. Email me at jakub@snejda.cz. You can also lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ).
